A scholarship will be awarded annually to a student enrolled at Missouri State University with a declared major in the Department of Sociology and Anthropology.

Applicant must be a junior standing with 60 or more credit hours or senior standing with 90 or more credit hours. Applicant must also have a minimum 3.00 overall grade point average.

Recipient must be enrolled in at least 12 hours the semester they receive the award.

Public service is an important component of this scholarship. Applicant shall submit one page letter to the Departmental Awards Committee explaining his/her experience in and commitment to public service.

Financial need may be considered when making the award.

Current scholarship amount is $700.
