Department of Sociology, Anthropology and Criminology 

Walter O. Cralle Scholarship

A scholarship will be awarded annually to a student enrolled at Missouri State University  with a declared major in the Department of Sociology, Anthropology, or Criminology.  This award is equal to one semester tuition and fees.

  • Applicant should have completed 60 hours of academic work and have a grade point average of 3.50 or higher.

  • Recipient must be a full-time student (12 hours) when applying for and when using the award.

  • Applicant should submit a completed application form, a written personal statement, and one official copy of an up-to-date Missouri State University transcript.  Your personal statement should include a summary of your merit in such areas as scholarship; campus/departmental activities; community service and leadership; a brief description of life or work experience that may enhance your professional potential; and a discussion of your professional goals and future plans. Two letters of  recommendation should be sent to the Department of Sociology, Anthropology and Criminology.

  • The Cralle Scholarship covers tuition and fees (books not included) for one semester.
